Customer Support (flexible & remote)

 

Blabu.com was created in January 2019 by three experienced co-founders. We are changing traditional ways of learning and practicing English. After 13 months, we are team of 15 people based in Prague, we got 80+ tutors all around the world and 5000+ calls with average rating 4.94* out of 5. Blabu.com is open more than 100+ hours per week and we got hundreds of paying and returning customers.


We need your help to make Blabu's students experience amazing so they come back and become Blabu ambassadors! You’re a great match if you possess fantastic troubleshooting skills and are driven to help customers. If you enjoy dealing with various cultures and interacting with people from all over the world on a daily basis, this is an excellent role for you!


We are looking for individuals with flexible schedules who are genuinely compassionate, organized, patient and committed to ensuring our students and tutors have the best possible experience on Blabu.com. 


A great job for a student / mum on maternity leave with a flexible schedule to answer customer support inquiries and issues. Main working hours are in the evening.


Remote work & flexible on-call working hours

This is a remote & time-flexible position. After first 3 days of training and consultations in our Prague office, you will be able to work independently and remotely. Our customer support inquiries come throughout our opening hours (8am - 10pm) and we are looking for someone who is on-call and able to answer them within given time frame (there is mobile app to use). You will be paid per number of closed inquiries. You will also have a long-term on-going task to reactivate our students, on which you can work in your preferred time if you keep our deadline. You will regularly let us know your time availability to be on-call and you will be in charge or how much you can earn. 

 

Job Description

Main responsibilities:

  • Reply and solve customers inquiries and issues from Blabu students and tutors using our tools (Intercom, Slack, admin)

  • Proactively contacting students and tutors in case of failed calls / failed payments to support them and help them 

  • Collect feedback from students to improve the students' experience and satisfaction and add it to FAQs / Manuals


Experience and skills: 

  • Smart and open-minded

  • Previous customer service skills are a big plus – the ability to be empathetic, accurate, compassionate, responsive, resourceful and conscientious writing skills

  • Excited to help customers with day to day issues

  • Excellent English & Czech written and verbal communication skills - You must be able to convey both technical and non-technical jargon / advices to students and tutors from all over the world

  • Interested in technology and language learning

  • Ability to empower and motivate students to break their fear and step out of their comfort zone to make their first Blabu call. 

  • Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow-up on customer inquiries as well as replicate and document for further use

  • Solid technical support experience is a strong benefit

  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic, ability to multi-task, a desire to learn

  • Based in the Czech Republic with the possibility to pop-up in the Prague office from time to time

We’re looking for a person who is ready to join a 1-year old startup with experienced founders. Finances for the project are secured and we’re located in cool, dog-friendly offices in Karlin. Start asap. Pay is 150 CZK / hour.
